Rurrenabaque warning

I have just posted a message in the ┤Women
Travellers┤section to advise women of the danger of
undertaking jungle tours from Rurrenabaque in Bolivia with
the guide ┤Negro┤, who is highly recommended in Lonely
Planet┤s Bolivia handbook. I am sorry I don┤t know his last
name but I don┤t have that handbook. Please see that
message, but in brief, Negro has a history of drugging and
raping women who participate in his jungle tours. He offers
the group tablets for mosquito bites which are either
sleeping tablets (non-victims) or valium (victims). I have
heard stories of some women being so heavily drugged that
they are not sure if they have been raped or not.
There are two guides called Negro in Rurre. The other guide
has a missing finger and is reputable. Please help me in
encouraging Lonely Planet to find some way to alert
travellers to this information. Many people continue to use
Negro┤s services as he is so highly recommended in ┤the
book┤and the there is no information available in Rurre to
warn women.
Please tell others!
Viki Cramer

LP, do something about it please!
A story can be found at the south american explorers site or
    at
    http://travel.to/bolivia
    (in the faq)

The honest Negro has been having to go around and explain the
situation. The people at the Hotel Tuichi can steer you to
    him.

I was in Rurre a couple of days ago and another girl got
raped by Negro. There are warnings posted all over town and
the agency for which he worked - Eco Tours - was locked up.
In fact, we met a traveller who had been in the Pampas with
Negro for 6 days and he really recommended him. I knew about
Negro before I left home and knew the "reputable" Negro had
a missing finger so when we were approached by the shit head
Negro himself, I politely told him to bugger off. Still,
Lonely Planet needs to serously update it's Rurre and the
rest of Bolivia too. I've never had such a crap guide book
    before.

As a note: on the bottom of each page is a email adress to
LP. I will sent them a message to say thay should warn
people in the guidebook and put a warning on the site
against this guy. If you all do so as well, I'm sure they'll
    listen.
    This is the text used:
    Hi people of LP:
The stories of a guy called Negro raping women in bolvia
shock me. I think you should definitely warn people against
him, in your books and on the site.
Can you please let me know what action you are planning to
    take?
