hi everyone, I've been reading this site for weeks now and
am still confused about which part of South America is the
best to go on an Amazon tour. I've heard great things about
Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia, but because of time restraints I
can go only go to the Amazon while in one of these
countries. Any tips on which one? I'm entering Ecuador from
colombia and flying out of La Paz, after the Inca Trail.
many thanks in advance.

You didn't mention your budget. For low budget trips I
recommend Rurrenbaque, Bolivia. I've down them out of Banos,
Ecuador and Rurre and Rurre was best.

If you have the money, arrange to go to Manu National Park
from Cusco. It{s beautiful and there{s lots of wildlife.
BUT... it costs anywhere from $600 to $1500 depending on
who you go with and how long you stay.
