Has Anyone climbed Mt. Fuji? Care to offer info/tips re:
transportation to/from Tokyo, accommodations (i.e., ow
crowded are the huts??), costs, commentary about whether it
was worthwhile and enjoyable, or just too darn crowded?

Climb the mountain a week either side of the climbing
season. All the huts are closed, the vending machines get
taken away and there are hardly any climbers (about 200 at
the top when we got there). But, the weather is the same as
the official season. Otherwise it`s like being in central
Tokyo.
