Hi everyone,
Me and a companion are headed to Taiwan and to China this summer. I hold a Canadian passport but my companion holds a Malaysian passport so he needs both a Taiwan and a China visa. We can't decide which visa to get first, for fear of getting rejected since China and Taiwan aren't on the best of terms. If anyone has any info please post
Thanks!

There was a report in the newspaper the other day here
in Taiwan that said that two western guys who had been to
Taiwan were rejected their China visum because of that, but
they haven't made any official announcements, nor have there
been any other cases reported so far, so you might want to
check it out at the place where you're about to have your
China visa processed. In any case you will never have any
problems getting a visum to Taiwan, no matter if you have
been to China before or not. They're not that difficult over
here.
By the way, if you're looking for some info on travel in
