I just got my letter of Approval for a Canadian Working
Holiday Visa (which cost me nothing) but someone told me
I'll be slugged for a hundred bucks or so at the airport to
actually get the stamp in my passport. Is this true?
There's nothing about it on the literature I got from the
Canadian Consulate. Has anyone done this before?
(PS: I'm an Australian)

never heard of a fee at the airport. the consulate would have collected it if one were applicable.
don't take my word as gospel, but i do know more than the average clown on the net. i have worked in the visa office of a canadian embassy.
Confirm what mikey is saying.
I went over from Australia and had no additional cost
That was 2 years ago and the reciprocal agreement between
Canada and Australia hasnt changed as far as I know.
I think someones yanking your chain!
There is NO additional cost when you hit the airport. I
flew into Canada on the weekend (on an Aussie passport) and
my work visa was a lot easier to get than I thought - they
didn't even ask to see proof of funds - wow, what a
relief!!!## Just show your Letter of Approval and you'll
be right.
P.S. have a bank statement or proof of funds ready just in
case.
