What happens in NYC on the 4th July?? Where does all the
action go down??? Is it along one particular street or
what? Someone tell me!!! Does anyone know of something
really great that's going on. Any info regarding this would
be great.

Try Central Park.
It's huge!
You'll see fireworks, live bands,etc.
Many pubs and clubs have things happening in them also.
Don't expect to find any cheap drinks...think of a price and
add an extra $2 or $3.
Where to stay? Best advise is to BUY a guide book (you will
need it!) Try Eyewitness Travel Guides NYC.
Good Luck!
4th of July is a huge holiday and New Yorkers vacate the
summer en masse on a regular summer weekend. Central Park
will, however be paced as will SoHo and the Village. You
won't have to look for action you'll surely just stumble
upon it. If you are around on the 14th there is a huge, fun
quatorze juillet fete on ganesvoort Street.
