I will be in Whistler June 4-11 and was wondering, is there
any thing going on after dark? I'm going to spend my days
kayaking, hiking, and all that good stuff and I want to
spend my nights dancing and partying!!!! What places would
you guys recommend to check out? I am 23, female. Also,
the guidebooks have this area pretty well covered but if
anyone would like to recommend daytime activities that are
must-dos, do tell. Thanks!

Well I don't know if you have checked into the winter we are having, but we have have the highest snow pack in ages (9 meters). So if planning on going kyaking and hiking you may want to reconsider, unless you want to try snowmobiling, skiing, or snowshoeing.Anywys I partied up in whistler back in Febuary and the night life is quite good,if expensive.I can't remember the names but one place that was pretty good had Begal in it's name. Also when I was there the ratio of men to women in the bars was about eight to one so be prepared for a lot of attention. If you want to do the kyak, hiking thing try the Gulf islands or Vancouver the climate is warmer, and wetter, but you won't need long johns..maybe.

Give Tommy Africa's and Garfiinkles a go. They are popular in Winter. Tommy's has a monday night Retro night that is it's biggest. If you are more into the dance scene, there is a club across in the main Whistler square (cant remen\mber the name). Rogue Wolf is ok and the Longhorn is famous for accommodating drunk aussies.

I'm sorry I know this doesn't have much to do with you
    post...but are you a female white-water kayaker??? I'm an
Australian ww kayaker and am usually the only female amongst
10 guys....I love to meet other chic paddlers and get their
view on this excellent sport. Also...I am going to
Vancouver in December and would appreciate some advice on
where the good rivers are when the snow melts (when it
    eventually does)!
    Have a great time!
