Hi :) , I'd like to reach this little paradise, but haven't
see anything about this little village in the LP. Do you
know how to get there from Montreal? Take a bus `till Mt
Tremblant then hitchiking? Help! Thanks and have a nice
day :)

  1. Mont Laurier via Carman Trails Added by: Peter Brian (oldpot@hotmail.com)

To get to Mont Laurier from Montreal, an interesting way would be to take the Moose Bus (www.moosetransportco.com) from Montreal to Ottawa and on to Carman Trails (www.magma.ca/~carman). From there, the Yoyageur bus goes North to Maniwaki and on to Mont Laurier. However, I suggest that you plan a stopover at Carman Trails, an Hostelling International affiliate, which is located alongside Gatineau Park which has 270km of walking trails. Carman Trails offers bunk beds, good food, good music and company from all over the world. You can rent a canoe or a mountain bike or even go bungee jumping. Then go on to Mont Laurier but I expect that you will want to go back to Carman Trails Enjoy

There are buses from main busterminal (Metro Berri-UQAM) in
MontrĪ˜al, takes about 4-4.5 hours and it stops in every
little village along the way there(at least it used to do
so when I last went that way, a few yaers ago). It stops
    "downtown" Mt-Laurier.
If you have any questions about this place, feel free to
mail me, I lived there for a year as an exchange student
and also visitied the place a few times so.
