creative, cheap ways to...

Do you know of any creative, cheap ways to get from Europe to the states? I was thinking of trying to get a job on a cruise ship- if you've done this and can share recommendations or horror stories, please fill me in. Other suggestions also welcome- I have very little money after a year of working in Eastern Europe, and need to make my way home the cheapest way possible. Thanks!!!!!
