Is it possible to get from Egypt to Israel overland? By
boat?
Any info on border crossings, trains, buses, camels, mules,
etc is greatly appreciated.

Sure it is, you just have to catch one bus from Cairo to
Tel Aviv or if you go through the Sinai for a visit you can
catch a taxi (up to 8 people) to the Taba/Eilat border

It is no problem to catch some bus from Cairo to border in
Rafiah (you have to find bus station for Sinai, sory cant
remember the name ), then cross the border on your own foot
and than catch bus to Tel Aviv, but it there is only one
bus during all day, so try sherut (public taxi )to Beer
Sheva. Or simply try direct bus to Tel aviv from Cairo
Sheraton hotel(about 40 USD). you can calso cross the
border on the south of Sinai in Taba. The cheapist way to
go there is to go by bus from Cairo to Suez and from Suez
to Taba through Sinai desert by minibus (about 6 hours, 15-
16 people in 10 seated van, 40 C temperature, no lights
during the night and about 25 E. pounds). again walk
through the border to Israeli site and catch the local bus
to Eilat (4 NIS, about 4 km)
Have safe journey, further info - peterrea@yahoo.com
    sorry for my English.
