My husband and I are keen to go to Bali this February, our
son will be 9 months old. I am intersted in renting a house
or bugalow, howver they seem to cost the earth ($250-
$500US) a night! If any one has done this trip with a
littly, then I would be really keen to hear your feed back.

Hi, I am not sure if this would help or not, but last year
my husband and I were staying in Ubud (you might want to
stay on the beach). Anyway, we rented a wonderful bungalow
for US$18 per night. Two stories, very clean, kitchen
attached, bathrooms, named Sari's Bungalows, a little
outside of town (not listed in the LP guide-what a shame).
If you want more information please let me know, I probably
have something at home with the address or phone numbers.
I've gone to Bali several times with my young daughters. For a very kid friendly and "lovely" place to stay, the Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua is beautiful (about $125 US a night)l. They have the facilities, beaches and food rolled into one, but it is definitely a resort. I also love Ubud; no pools or kid type facilities, but a cool place to hang out. One word of advice, it's the rainy season in Bali until May. However the rains are usually only an hour or two a day.
I am also planning a trip to Bali (in June)with my baby who
will be 10 months by then and would love to hear about your
experiences once you get back.
