This isn't travel but....

I need some help with determining how much pocket money
my 2 boys should get ages 10yrs and 8 yrs and how much
work they should do for it and how much they should bank.
Does anyone have any good ideas they use that seems to
make both parties happy? A friend says $1 per age, is this
too much? Thanks for taking some time off your holiday
plans.
Robyn.

Show them the invoice for the last flights taken with you and tell them THEY owe you money and I'd say....ohhh ..let me see at AUD20$ per week maybe they will be debt free in 18 months and then we'll start negotiations again.

It seems to me that 1 dollar per year is a bit much for an 8
and 10 year old. But here's a tip-
Have them take a survey of the amount their classmates get
for allowance, and take an average of that amount. It will
be good comparison for age. I think a teacher would not be
opposed to taking a few minutes of class time to do this,
    especially during Math Class.

  5. What are they going to buy with it? Added by: Hilary

It seems to me that it depends what you think it is
reasonable for them to want to buy... if you think it is a
packet of crisps, two comics and the bus fare to the
library - what does that cost? Will they need to save it
toward Christmas and birthday presents they are giving??
Hope this helps you think about it.
