I am going to Puerto Rico and neighboring islands in June.
I'm intersted in cheaper places to stay-like hotels, guest
houses in San Juan but even more on Viquees & Culebula.
Please post if you know a gay friendly place in PR,
Dominiocan Republic, Virgin Islands, or in other Carribean
destinations.
Thnaks,
Stephen

Just got back from three weeks in Puerto Rico. It's kind of
    expensive, like the states.
There is a great gay scene in San Juan and it is very easy to
find out about it when you get there. Stay in or near Condado
and you can walk to many places. We stumbled on Ocean Walk
Guest House by accident, and they are very gay and will
gladly give you an anotated map of the bars, etc.
I like Vieques a lot and spent 10 days there. Not really
enough people to have a gay scene... Stayed at Bananas in
Esperenza for $45/night. Do not miss swimming in the
phosporescent Bio-Bay. You will need to rent a car there to
get to the beaches. Do not stay at Hacienda Tamarindo: owners
are assholes. You may like gay-owned Inn on the Blue Horizon,
but it is very spendy. At least check out the bar. Locals
hang out at a place called Al's Mar Azule in Isabel II.It's
easiest to fly from San Juan for $100 round trip.
There is a little gay bar in Boqueron in back of Wildflowers
Inn (Calle Munoz Rivera, not gay but reasonable at $50/night)
that is only open weekends, I think.
Culebra is very cool if you like to be REALLY laid back.
Spent a week there two years ago. Very little going on, no
    gay scene, but fantastic beaches!
Write if you want to know more!
