Hello, I'm going to be Nepal in December and January. I
know it's the coldest time of year to go but it's the only
time I can go! Has anyone trekked in late Dec or Jan? Is
the weather really miserable? Any info would be great.
Thanks.

    Jen,
I have been to Nepal 4 times--all in December (this was
usually dictated by my father, who is a several decade
mountaineer). It's actually a fine time to go--although
it's cold, we didn't ever have much precipitation and no
need to worry about leeches and stuff like that. Also, if
    you're on a trek and don't shower for a few weeks, it's
nicer not to be sweating profusely each day. Enjoy!

I'm also going to Nepal during Dec - Jan and have also
found a lack of detailed information about this time of
year. Except that it is cold (which you do not need to be
a genius to figure out). It seems I've been to alot of
websites and read the guide books but with no direct
reference to this time of year. If you would like to share
any info, drop us a line. Well, good luck and happy
    travelling.
