Cuba on TV

Hola mis amigos y amigas,
For all of you able to watch Amercian television, this
Sunday there will be an hour and a half special on Cuba,
Papa, Rumba, etc. It will be on the television show "CBS
THIS MORNING." I have heard lots of good things about this
piece and feel it could be quite interesting. The one
drawback I could possibly forsee is that the CBS
correspondent only spent three days in Cuba. I dont know
exactly how he could report accurately after only three
days. The other side is that "CBS THIS MORNING" isnt
really a hard hitting news show. It instead shows the life
of common people and out of the way places. Well anyway,
just wanted to let all of you know about it.
PEACE

    Helen,
Here in Cayo Hueso (KEY WEST) it is on at 9am EST. The
show will last 1 1/2 hours and will be totally dedicated to
Cuba. You should check your tv guide to see when it comes
on in your part of the country. I think it will be quite
an interesting hour and a half.
    PEACE

  6. More Cuba... Added by: Jose Ramon
[Timestamp: Thu 13 May, 11:56 Tasmanian Standard Time]

I watched Charles Osgood (CBS THIS MORNING REPORTER) on
Larry King and he had some neat stories to tell. He has a
real down home style of reporting, so I am now more excited
then ever. If it would have been another reporter, I may
have not cared as much. Anyway, I dont want to sound like
a CBS pitchman or anything but I know Osgood is
entertaining. Helen, I too think that I shall tape the
show. I know it wont be the same as being there, but until
I get the sails fixed it will have to do.
    God speed and good wind.
    Peace

  7. CBS SUNDAY MORNING Added by: expeditor of dreams
[Timestamp: Thu 13 May, 22:46 Tasmanian Standard Time]

the program is known as CBS SUNDAY MORNING 830A CST and
their pieces are very good on a wide range of topics from
music,books,politics,etc...i wouldn't look for the entire
program to be about cuba.i believe probably a 15-20min
segment is all they'll have,as they talked about other
segments as well, last week.since it's the anniversary of
hemingway's 100th birthday,i believe this was their key
    interest in cuba.we'll see,i guess.but,it is a good show
and i will watch it on sunday morns,if i get up early
enough.it's been on the air along time originally with
    charles kuralt as the host.enjoy,ciao,e

I just say a 90 minute program on Cuba that was very
interesting and very well done. Many other people who saw
and enjoyed the same program might have missed it were it
not for the post by Jose Ramon which brought it to our
    attention.
    Thank you, Jose Ramon.

Anyway, I am so upset! I was so psyched and ready to see

Does anybody have any ideas on how I could get a copy of
the tape ( I would be willing to pay costs, etc).

    HI,
Can't believe I missed it ... was all prepared to see it and
overslept (serves me right for staying out late the night
    before).
FYI - I called CBS to order a copy of the video tape and
they ARE NOT going to make this tape available!!
HELP!! Did anybody tape this?? If there is anybody that
did tape this and could make a copy for me, I would SO
GREATLY appreciate it!! I will, of course, pay for costs
(tape, shipping, etc). I just truly wanted to see this
    program!!
Pls. email me at eleni_ny@yahoo.com OR leave a post here!
    Thanks!!
    - Helen
