We plan a trip in January to St. Vincent and the Grenadines
and would like to know if those who have been there, enjoyed
it, where they stayed, what they did there, and was it with-
in a moderate price range. Would you return? Has anyone
stayed on Bequia ? All and any info. will be appreciated.
Many thanx, Joe.

I've just been to StVin and Grenada following the Aussie
Cricket tour. St.Vincents was excellent, and I also enjoyed
    Grenada.
I stayed at Casa de Columbus in Indian Bay, which must have
the best views of the Bay and Yound Island. The rooms were
large and airconditioned with huge showers. The staff were
very friendly as well and couldn't do enough to help me,
even though I arrived at a very busy season without
accomodation. It is formerly known as Indian Bay Apartments,
and I think was about $65 a night, which included a cooked
breakfast. The Bus into town was EC1.50, which is about 50c.
I also went on a speedboat trip with Fantasea tours which
went south through most of the Grenadines to the Tobago
Quays and back. That included drinks, but not lunch for $100
which I thought was a bit expensive but worth it in the end
for some of the great beaches and tiny islands we stopped
at. The Tobago quays weren't much good for snorkelling
(where we went anyway) and although it's very pretty, it was
a bit like a supermarket carpark but full of yachts
when I went. St. Vincents is a lot more tropical and
jungle-ish than other caribbean islands so expect a bit more
rain. I didn't climb up to the Volcano, but imagined it
would be a nice trek - very Lost World.
    Hope this helps
