We (me and my wife)have decided to go to the Caribbean in
November for a couple of weeks.
I fancy doing some diving and taking in the relaxed culture
over a few easy drinks and chilled out evenings.
I know November is not the best time of the year to go so
bearing that in mind what do you think would be the best
Island to go for. We fancy a bit of comfort but not a
tourist mecca if you know what I mean.
Thanks for any input

    hey there,
Well if you'd like to go to a relaxed area in the Caribean
which is not a touristic big boom then tou should go to Los
Roques. You'll find nothing that will support tourism except
for the beautiful scene and friendly people in the middle of
the Carribean in front of Venezuela. It is about one flight
    from Caracas.
Have a good trip Where ever you might go. Cheers

Cam, how about the British Virgin Islands. I've toured the
islands of Tortola and Virgin Gorda, Anegada (sp) and Jost
    Van Dyke.
The islands are absolutely breath-taking. Tortola is the
    busiest...that's where most business is.
Beautiful beaches, unspoiled (for the most part).
Incredible wrecks to dive and snorkle around Anegada.
    Warm, friendly, tourist accomodating.
    Not cheap, though.
My last time was in October...sunny and very warm every day.
I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity of touring
the Bahamas, Jamaica, American Virgin Islands, Turk/Caicos,
St. Barts, Martinique, Dominican Republic, Cuba. BVI are a
    definite favorite.

for your requirements is ST. LUCIA. I have been there
numerous times and can highly recommend it. The diving is
great, the people are very friendly, the atmosphere is
casual and relaxed, it is not overrun with tourists and the
weather in November will be perfect. There are some very
good hotels as well, especially north of Castries.

    Hi Cam,
You want a great trip not too much tourist hustl and bustle. Dominica is the place for you. It's widely over looked and a great hidden treasure of the Caribbean. One of the most if not the most undisturbed islands in the Caribbean. Beaches, relaxation, rainforest, it's a great place where you w't find the pushy ocals trying to sell you stuffer parrots and shells on the beach look ito it you won' t be sorry.
PS. Dominica not to be mistaken with Dominican Republic another beauty but more touristed island.
    Have a great time!
