We, my girlfriend and I, are going to Cuba in august '99
and we are looking for accomodations like casas
particulares (situation, tΘl. number, price...).
If you already have been there, could you share your
experience with us please ?

   Just got back...stayed with a wonderful family in La Habana.
   Silvia Alvarez, Calle Infanta No 17, apto 9, entre 23 y
   Humboldt. Tel: 79-3130 $30 per night and has air
   conditioning. It borders Vedado and Centra Habana. You can
   see the Malecon and the waterfall of the Hotel Nacional from
   their balcony. Her sons speak English.

   for her. You will have to call her to make arrangements. I
   have never been disappointed as she has always found one of
   her neighbours places available if she did not have any
   vacant apartments herself. "Rent a one-bedroom apartment,
   clean, private bath with hot/cold shower, private entrance &
   patio, double bed, air-conditioning, kitchen with fridge (
   reasonable priced $25 per night low-season and $30 per night
   high-season - meals optional ) If you require more bedrooms,
   this lady can make arrangements for your reservations by
   telephone (she speaks English as well as any Canadian) as
   she makes arrangements with her Spanish speaking neighbours
