all of the posts on the North American thorntree concern the
U.S. and Canada. BTW--you're not the first one to think
that they are pointing something out that hasn't been
pointed out before.
I wanted posters to be aware that they may get a better
response if their post was in the correct branch of the
tree. It surprised me when I saw how many people think
Mexico is in Central America.
I am an American who lives in Chiapas. Chiapas is barely a
part of Mexico, much less a part of "North America". Most
of la gente in this area identify much more with Central
America than with the US and Canada. The best travel info
we ever receive about this area is on the CA bulletin board.
One of my profesors told us in class that mexico's
classification as a north american country is in the works
to be changed. This is because mexico greatly differs from
the US and canada concerning culture, the type of plants
and animals, language, etc. I agree with the above post in
that chiapas is more like guatemala, since it used to be
part of that country. it just makes more sense mexico be a
part of central america. and everyone posts on the CA tree
anyways since most people hit mexico and travel south thru
the other countries like guatemala, belize, and
i actually don't belive that posters get better reponse
posting stuff about M on NA, whether it's a part of it or
not. keep posting it right here!!!
This is an old story. I don't know why people keep pointing
this out. Who cares???
President Zedillo just visited California and they acted
like he was from another country! Bah!
The americans think everywhere is a part of North america
It differs from the US as It has some culture.
You want culture? The USA has toilet paper. If that doesn't
matter to you then Mexico is just the place!
