Just a reccomendation to anyone visiting Victoria, you must go to Lock Ard Gorge, it is a few minutes from the 12 Apostles and is absolutely beautiful, we spent about 3 hours there but could have done with longer. The whole of the Great Ocean Road is worth seeing but allow a few days, we only had two and it wasn't long enough.

Thanks Claire - it is a stunning, moving place isn't it and
the cemetery up the top is very poignant. We thought we
would go back and cycle the Great Ocean Road but we haven't
yet. It would have to be one of the great trips in the
    world.

Yeah, I agree. I did the Great Ocean Road in 3 days and
could have spent loads more. It really is a stunning place
and the 12 Apostles is just such a tiny piece of it.
    Great!

It's a great place if you like spooky, windswept cliffs.
And I do. That cemetery is the kind of place you only see
in movies, and the blowhole there (further inland) is worth
the walk. Its history just adds to the atmosphere - I can
only imagine how scary it would have been to have your ship
sink there, in the middle of the night, in the late 1800s.
