I am currently in LA and was looking for a cheap way home to
Oz. I've heard that it is possible to get on a yatch as
crew but have no idea how to go about doing this. If anyone
has done this sort of thing before some advice would be more
than a little helpful.

I'm tryingto get information on long distance hiking trails
in Europe. I know of the Pennine Way but there has got to be
more than that. If anyone can recommend sites and/or books
about this sort of thing, or first hand experience of course
i would be eternally grateful.(well maybe not eternally but
you get the idea.)
