Moving to Australia

Does anyone have experience with migration to Australia?
I'm working on filling out form 47 in the independent visa
class and I have a few questions. If I'm granted the
permanent visa when do I have to enter Australia? Someone
told me sic months after I've been issued the visa, but I
can't find any information regarding this on the DIMA
website. And do I have to include a police clearance with
the form right away or will I be told if it's needed?
Any help or advice greatly appreciated, thanks!

As far as I'm aware it's one year from date of issue that
you are given to enter Australia. Send in your police
clearance with the form even if they don't need it straight
away. It will save time and money (yours not the gov'ts).
