any help most gratefully appreciated.

I am an Australian Travel Agent and I would like to try and
help. Fiurstly as 19yo, insurers will jack the price up so
be aware of that. Try looking for a site that has fai (they
are a local insurer in AUstralia and they do quote) they may
have an email you can get to them direct on.
To get just a rough idea of costs look up websites with
'sydney' they are what are termed city search sites and
carry advertising and some email addresses for all sorts of
    things including car yards.
Hope this starts you off in right direction.

  2. insurance is not required Added by: matt (mattlovenz@hotmail.com)

If you were wondering about insurance, third party is
included in the reg and you are not legaly required to obtain
anything more than that, age isn't a factor in paying the reg
    costs.

can be pretty expensive (especially if theyve got a jag) so
we have what is called 'third party property damage'
insurance cover. It covers you for damage to another persons
vehicle or property (but not to your own) it costs about
$100 Aus and is freely available. this is different to
normal 'third party" which is paid as part of your normal
registration cost and covers you for injury to another
PERSON, not to their vehicle. would recommend it as cheap
insurance. I spend six months a year travelling in a
motorhome in oz and a smal camper van is a good way to go
