    I was there at the beginning of April on my own. What I mean
    by then is before I went there I had many people saying dont
    go there on your own, not very safe for a woman traveller,it
    is not like travelling in Europe etc..but no, I didnt listen
    any of them (good job I didnt!) and went there..had the best
    time ever..No troubles at all..First of all it is a muslim
    country,so I dont think there is much crime anyway..As long
    as you act sensibly, you wouldnt get any toubles.Durung my
    travels in Morocco, I must admit I havent seen any
    hitch-hikers, but why do you want to hitch-hike, busses are
    extremely cheap and good fun(I couldnt stop laughing during
    my journey from Marakkesh to Essaouira). It is a beautiful
    country, warm and friendly people..you can e-mail me
