Mystery surrounds treasures recovered by divers in a salvage operation in the seas off Brunei. Porcelain, jade and gold ingots were found during the three month project, which was guarded by the Bruneian navy. Museum officials will not yet comment on the find, but ceramics recovered are believed to be from the Ming dynasty.

The national airline of Brunei, Royal Brunei Airlines, has suspended all scheduled flights between Brunei and Beijing and Osaka. The flights will be suspended on 28 October and will not be re-introduced until the economic situation in Asia improves.
