Paraguay has closed all international borders and airports following the assasination of Vice President Luis Maria Argana while security forces search for his killers. Vice President Argana was ambushed and shot on March 22 by unknown assailants. Although the motive for his killing is unknown, some suspect it may be tied to a power struggle for leadership of the ruling Colorado party.
