A cholera epidemic has flared up in southern Somalia.
Reports from the town of Dinsor in the southern Bay area suggest that
the epidemic has claimed up to 20 victims daily over the past six weeks,
aggravated by an influx of farmers from rural areas seeking food and water
in a time of drought and factional infighting. Travellers are advised
not to travel in the southern regions of the troubled country.
