The Northbrook Theatre is part of Northbrook College, which is a College that has complexes in and around the town of Worthing in West Sussex. Construction was completed on the theatre complex in 1990 and the complex has been used within the College ever since.

How to Book

Northbrook Theatre Box Office (01903) 695734. Open Tuesday to Friday 10am-4pm and half an hour before Theatre events. See here for a seating plan.

The total seat count is 192. All retractable tiered seating. Northbrook College is completely wheelchair accessible. Special Theatre facilities include Disabled Toilet in the foyer. Please telephone in advance for further information if you are wheelchair bound and wish to attend a performance.

All major Credit Cards accepted for telephone payment. You can reserve tickets but they must be paid for within three working days or half an hour before the event, whichever is the sooner, otherwise they may be released for sale.

Post Booking Form with cheque/postal order to: The Box Office, Northbrook Theatre, Northbrook College Sussex, Littlehampton Road, Goring-by-Sea, West Sussex BN12 6NU. Cheques should be made payable to Northbrook College.

About the Venue

The Theatre is available for hire throughout the year to schools companies and local societies at very reasonable rates. Please contact Marilyn Floyde, Theatre Unit Manager, on (01903) 830057.

Theatre Bar

The fully-licensed Theatre Bar is open during term-time from 12.00-2.00pm each weekday for drinks and posh sandwiches, and from 5.00pm each evening. Out of term-time and weekends it opens one hour before Theatre events.

Car/Coach Parking is plentiful and absolutely free. Alternatively Goring-by-Sea railway station is only a short walk away. For train times BR (01273) 206755. See map.

Photography Gallery

Open Monday-Friday, 10.00am-4.00pm

The Photography Gallery provides a venue for photographers to exhibit and promote their work. Occasionally there will be shows of non-contemporary photographers/movements, however, most will feature work of leading British and regional photographers.

Friday 2 February 7.30pm, Unloaded performed by the Slap Theatre Company . A mad adventure in masculine violence Fuelled by beer, jealousy and eventually naked hate two lads discover the vacuity and fear beneath the competition and michismo of a night out on Teeside. This production is deemed by the Company as suitable for adults only. Tickets: £6.50 (Concessions £5.50)

Friday 9 February 7.30pm, Honestly performed by the Hoipolloi Theatre Company. Maniacal comedy about fetishism and obsession and that insatiable desire to find out what goes on behind your neighbour's front door. Friday/Saturday 23, 24 February 7.00pm (Saturday matinee also at 2.30pm), The WYT Show performed by the Worthing Youth Theatre. Three original plays will be performed over the two days in repertoire. Tickets: £4.50 (Concessions £3.75, Members £2.50)

Thursday 29 February 7.30pm, Dirty Reality II performed by the Black Mime Theatre in association with Nottingham Playhouse. Physical Dexterity, to alarm and provoke you. Saturday 9 March 7.30pm, The Tempest performed by West Sussex County Youth Theatre in association with Northbrook College. Tickets: £3 (School/Student Groups buy 10 and get one free!)

Friday 15 March 7.30pm, Gin and Trickery performed by Zinc Bar in association with Northbrook Theatre. Story of two inept criminals in search of notoriety who try to steal the takings from a cheap theatre. Wednesday 27 March - Friday 29 March 7.30pm, An Italian Straw Hat performed by Northbrook College. An exciting and strange new production of this well know classic French farce by Eugene Labiche and Mark-Michel. Tickets: £3.00 (School/Student Groups buy 10 and get one free!)
