: I was so happy to find this web page where informed individuals can have debate. A matter of pressing interest for us environmentalists:Coffee! Inorganic coffee production by large corporations is spelling the end of our tropical rainforests! Organic coffee production, however, is done in harmony with the rainforests, whereas large scale corporations clear-cut the forests and sell the coffee to Americans who don't know or don't care! Let's stop the slaughter of the rainforests! Equal Exchange is a corporation to contact about organic coffee! Stop and think before you drink the blood of our rainforests!

That all sounds good , but maybe we should be growing Cannibis as an alternative. It makes good rope and would cut the organized crime rate in half. And ask yourself is coffee really the reason the rainforest are being destroyed? or (overpopulation)
