Many of the FAQ's and other documents of this disc are updated continuously.
Therefore, the copy you find here may not be totally up to date. For an up
to date copy of any FAQ you find here, please mail the FAQ maintainer directly,
and request a new copy, or just peruse the newsgroup the FAQ is from. You can
also ftp an updated copy from ftp.cdrom.com in the /pub/internet directory.

Quick Start Instructions:
Windows 3.1/NT:
Go to "File" menu under program manager and choose Run. At the
Command Line box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
This will install a group folder with icons for this cdrom.
MSDOS Quick Start:
Change to your CDROM drive and type "view".
Example:
C:\> D:
D:\> view
Windows 95:
Insert the cdrom into the cdrom drive. This will automatically
start a CDROM browser program called WinView.
Alternatively, you can also install the program group and icon
by selecting the "Start" menu and choosing "Run". At the Run
box, type: "D:\setup", assuming 'D' is your cdrom drive.
Linux/FreeBSD/Unix:
The easiest way to browse through the material on this disc using a
Unix-like operating system, is with an html browser. Point your
browser to the file called 00_index.htm in the root directory of
the cdrom drive. Note - this will only work on systems with
Rockridge extensions long file name support.
Using the 00_WIN.HTM and 00_INDEX.HTM:
We have included 00_index.htm and 00_win.htm files so the user may use
a Web browser to view our disc. If you use DOS, Windows 3.1, or Windows
95, please select the 00_win.htm. Otherwise, use the 00_index.htm to
browse through this disc.
In order to view this disc using the 00_index.htm and 00_win.htm files,
point your Web browser to the root level 00_index.htm file.
For example, in Netscape/Mosaic:
1) Choose File/Open File (or Open Site/Choose File)
2) Select your CDROM Drive
3) Select the appropriate file (00_index.htm or 00_win.htm)
4) Click on OK
The 00_index.htm and 00_win.htm files have been tested under Netscape
3.0, Netscape 4.0, and Microsoft Internet Explorer.

WinView and View
To make browsing the disc easier, we have included the program WinView
for Windows, and the program VIEW for MSDOS on the CDROM. These programs
allow you to page through index files, browse through directories on the
CD, view documentation and uncompress/install the program(s) you want
onto your hard disk.

Shareware
This disk contains many shareware programs and images. Shareware can
be considered to be a sort of try before you buy system where you are
expected to pay the program author a registration fee if you find the
program or image useful. You will find details of registration
included in the document/text files provided with each program.
