Add a Tool to the "Tools" menu

The 8Legs Web Studio enables you to maintain a list of your favorite software tools, so that you can access them quickly, without leaving the 8Legs window.

The "Tools" menu lists the software applications you can access from within 8Legs.

To add a tool to the "Tools" menu, do the following:

1. Click the "Tools" menu, and then the "Add Tool" menu.

2. 8Legs displays the following window:

Use the "Tools Menu" tab in the "Settings" window to add a command to the "Tools" menu.
A. "Current Tools" lists the commands you have added to the "Tools" menu.
B. The "Menu text" field displays the name that appears on the "Tools" menu.
C. The "Tool" field displays the command (application file) associated with the menu text on the "Tools" menu.
D. The "Arguments" field displays the program arguments sent to the tool each time you start it.

3. Click the "Addà" button to add a tool to the "Tools" menu. 8Legs displays the following window:

4. Select the name of an application file, and press the "Open" button.

5. Fill in the "Arguments" field for your new tool, and press the "Close" button.

Your new tool is added to the "Tools" menu in the 8Legs main window. You can now start this tool in 8Legs by selecting it from the "Tools" menu!
