When employed as an integrating strategy, IO weaves together related capabilities and activities toward satisfying a stated objective. Offensive IO applies actions, such as Psychological Operations, or PSYOP; Operations Security, or OPSEC; and military deception, and may apply attack options such as Electronic Warfare and physical attack or destruction to produce a synergistic effect against an adversary's information system.
