NOVELL PRODUCT and VERSION:
NFS Client for LAN WorkPlace 3.0

ABSTRACT:

LWP42N.EXE contains ver. 3.1C (compiled) of the Beame & Whiteside Network File
System Daemons for many UNIX systems.  These daemons are provided as a public
service from Novell and Beame & Whiteside and can be used as an upgrade to the
existing LAN WorkPlace NFS Client 3.0, which is based on the Beame & Whiteside
NFS Daemons (v3.0x).  From time to time, Novell may place, updated, versions
of the daemons into LWP42N.EXE.  LWP42N.EXE currently holds the same files
that were in LWP210.EXE.

ISSUE

LWP contains version 3.1C of the Beame & Whiteside Network File System
Daemons.  You may use the daemons in LWP42N.EXE as an alternative to LWPNFSD
or PCNFSD. 

The following flavors UNIX were used to compile these daemons:
- AIX v3.2
- HP/UX v9.01
- SCO v3.2
- SunOS v4.1.3
- Ultrix v4.2

See page 2-12 of the LAN WorkPlace NFS Client User's Guide, or the pertinent
section of any other documentation relating to NFS Daemon installation.


Patch History:  

The only difference between LWP42N.EXE and its predecessor, LWP210.EXE, is
that this TID contains some added information.

Both LWP210.EXE and LWP42N.EXE contains precompiled NFS Daemons v3.1c.

NOTE: You can get the latest version of the uncompiled daemon code (only
useful if you have a C compiler to build the daemon for your system) directly
from Beame and Whiteside's ftp site by using following instructions:
