Cooking in the kitchen with Devimat

With electric underfloor heating rapidly becoming the fastest growing sector

of the heating market, DEVI has moved to strengthen its position in the market with its prefabricated Devimat system, which is ideal for use in kitchens.

The 3mm thin Devimat comes as a self-adhesive roll, 500mm wide and complete with evenly spaced heating cabling attached to a mesh matting. Laying the system simply involves rolling out the mesh and cutting it to fit, after which the next strip is rolled out and so on until the floor is covered.

At 3mm thin it adds no appreciable height to the floor level.

There are two types of mat: one with a heating load of 100W/m for laying over or under timber based flooring, whilst the other has a heating load of 150W/m for use over concrete based floors.

In kitchens, where a tiled floor is so much more hygienic than carpeting, Devimat can be covered by either a self-levelling compound or a flexible tile adhesive, with ceramic tiles or wood providing the perfect finish.
