The Dual Thermostore Cylinder from Chelmer Heating Services Ltd
Company: Chelmer Heating Services Ltd

The Chelmer Dual Thermostore has been specially developed for condensing boilers and underfloor heating. The main concept of the Chelmer Dual Thermostore is to ensure that a connected condensing boiler always runs in condensing mode.

This is achieved by maintaining the lowest return temperatures to the boiler.  Unlike most other Thermostores our cylinder is only kept at 55
C at the bottom and 70C at the top.  Direct input from a boiler or ground source heat pump, without a coil, allows the direct transfer of heat in the shortest time.  Additional coils in base can accept input from solar collectors, kitchen ranges or wood burners.
There are three sizes of cylinder available: 160, 200 and 280 litres.

Key Features

Ensures Condensing boilers always operate in condensing mode
Integrate Boiler, Solar, Heat Pump, Kitchen Range, Wood Burner inputs
Lower energy bills. Less boiler cycling and low store temperatures for underfloor heating eliminates mixing valves and provides a buffer for boiler
Very fast domestic hot water recovery rate
Elegant, highly insulated design. Can be sited anywhere in your house

Simple, quick installation. Factory fitted integral energy saving controls, expansion vessels and pipework. Does not require professional installers

Energy Saving Design Features

Provides a buffer so that low demand from underfloor heating zones will not activate the boiler
Large storage capacity with thermal gradient to the top for continuous domestic hot water
Mains pressure for showers without pumps. No stored domestic hot water
Sealed system containing boiler and heating circuits. Built-in expansion vessel and statutory safety valves
Fail-safe thermostatic blend valve reduces higher temperature store water to a safe and stable temperature for domestic hot water

Operation

Direct connection without coils allows maximum output from boiler to maintain store temperature.

The boiler is only activated by one of two thermostats. The upper one set to 70oC responds to hot water demand. The lower one set between 35-55oC regulates and responds to underfloor heating.

Specification

Copper cylinder encased in white leatherette finish plastic coated steel. Incorporating patented TristageTM monopath coil heat exchanger with integral expansion control.
