Cosyfloor consists of thin profile, double insulated cables which are attached to a reinforced open weave mat. An integral earth braiding complying with current electrical safety requirements and allowing use in wet areas is incorporated. The cable are positioned at the correct distance apart ensuring even heating throughout and allowing simple and quick installation. As described in the fitting instructions, the mats can be laid around fixed objects making it exceptionally adaptable and convenient for most areas.
Cosyfloor mats are suitable for many floor finishes including timber, laminates, tiles, slate, marble, vinyl and carpets. Care should be taken not to thermally block any part of the heated floor as this could result in localised overheating and possible damage to the surface.
The many advantages include
- Complete safety
- Easy to install
- Low running costs
- Maintenance free
- 10 year warranty
- Reduces condensation
- Use of otherwise cold areas throughout the year
Rating:
160W/m
Voltage:
220/240V
Running Temperature:
25/30c depending upon ambient room temperature
Surface Heat Up Time:
Initial warming within 30 minutes; optimum running temperature 60/90 minutes, depending on ambient room, floor finish and level of insulation
Thickness of Cable:
3.5 mm
Connection Leads:
5 meters long can be shortened on site to suit application.
Level of Floor:
With the inclusion of cosyfloor the flooring will be raised by approximately 5/6mm
Compliance Standard:
Double Insulated and earthed cables complying with UK wiring regulations and tested to International Standards IEC 800
Maintenance:
Requires no maintenance. In the unlikely event of accidental damage occurring during installation, or subsequently, e.g. whilst drilling the floor or replacing tiling etc, it is possible for the fault to be traced by a qualified electrician and repair in situ.
Controls:
Various controls can be supplied, as appropriate. e.g. electronic wall mounted thermostat with remote floor sensor, either with or without integral clock; wall mounted air-sensing thermostat; wall mounted, tamperproof air sensing thermostat for use in bathrooms,
Running cost
The running cost of cosyfloor is comparatively low. As an example, operating continuously at prime rate, and without the benefit of thermostatic control, to heat an area 4m (640watts), the approximate cost per hour to run would be 4p.
