Passive Stack Ventilation by ADM
Company: ADM

The warm contaminated air rises and is extracted from each of the 'wet rooms' via ceiling terminals connected to ducting and expelled through the roof. Replacement fresh air is introduced by window/wall mounted inlets into other rooms.

The room extract terminals and inlets are humidity controlled so that the airflows will match according to demand.

Movement of air within the building is created by the natural stack effect, which results from the difference in temperature between indoors and outdoors, together with the effect of wind passing over the roof of the building.

The operating principle is simple with no mechanical fan, the system is extremely quiet and consumes no energy.
