Firefly Bedroom

A Fox maple finish with a softly rounded door profile and satin touch finish. Tall mirror doors and designer doors are also available as well as aluminium framed sliding doors. Colour co ordinated carcases are available. The doors are also 22mm thick as opposed to 18mm thick which is typical in many furniture ranges.

Without doubt the face of the fitted bedroom furniture market is changing. There is a move towards a more modular look even if the furniture is fitted. For example, a run of wardrobes down one wall or either side of a chimney breast coupled with bedside units is often favoured to the old tradition of framing a divan bed with a bridge-style top box. Sliding doors too were often chosen simply as a space saving solution, but have now become a design choice in their own right so we recently introduced sliding frosted doors and mirror doors to tap into this trend.

Fitted wardrobes were cited on Channel 4s Property Ladder recently in the top 10 selling points in a house. Time after time, potential on screen house buyers viewing homes bemoaned the lack of storage in a bedroom. With this in mind, consumers are prepared to pay for a well designed bedroom.

Mirroring the trend in the kitchen which has been witnessing a pendulum swing towards more natural finishes, with a twist of course, natural finishes are big in the bedroom too. Wood finishes, particularly blonde woods are growing in popularity since not only do they create a light, simple ambience, they are also supremely practical. Frosted glass details and feature doors are also making inroads in the bedroom.

Todays bedrooms are multi-functional spaces and they need to be flexible enough to cater for many different lifestyles. For some storage of their ample clothing collection may be a priority, but for others a bedroom that doubles as a study or an escape to watch a favourite film in bed may be more important. That is why perhaps the largest growth in recent years in terms of bedroom design has been behind closed doors, in the internal fittings of the bedroom, allowing the consumer to personalise their hanging and drawer space to perfectly accommodate their needs. Shoe racks, internal drawers, dual hanging rails, jewellery trays and internal lights all allow the consumer to tailor their needs to create a user-friendly space. We recently introduced a pull out and swivel TV storage unit too, to allow you to hide away an ugly portable behind wardrobe doors.
