GET has boosted its best-selling Ultimate ultra low profile, flat plate wiring accessories range with the introduction of a matching grid system that is designed for a wide variety of commercial and public interiors as well as for an increasing number of domestic installations. 

The new grid plates are available up to 24-gang in a wide range of plate and matching rocker finishes, each of which incorporates a number of unique practical and aesthetic features that make the Ultimate grid simplicity itself to fit.  The switch modules snap-on to the grid frame from the front, providing rigid fixing that ensures that the modules cannot be pushed through the frame yet can be removed or upgraded without removing the frame.  Incorporating many of the premium-build characteristics of the Ultimate wiring accessories range, the grid system is quick and easy to reconfigure and suitable for a broad selection of contemporary interior styles and environments.  

Versatility is certainly one of the new Ultimate grids signature characteristics. Options include one and two-way switched modules, DP switches, key operated switches, fused connection units, flex outlets and neon indicators all with metal caps.   Modules with pre-printed legends are also available, adding to its appeal for many commercial and domestic applications.  For example, the grid system can be used to control domestic kitchen appliances such as washing machines and extractor fans, boilers and dishwashers, reducing the need to have socket outlets above the worktops.

Available in both 10AX and 20AX switch ratings, the grid range is designed for ease of installation in both new and existing buildings, and incorporate clear terminal markings on the back.  Where retrofitted, they offer the bonus of a larger plate footprint, so reducing the need for redecoration.

There is also much to appeal to those with a designers eye, or those with a keen desire to utilise ergonomically pleasing designs, as the grid shares the smooth lines and subtle curves that have come to epitomise all Ultimate flat plate accessories.  The new range is available in a choice of mirror steel, stainless steel, polished brass, pearl nickel, black nickel and white metal, incorporating matching-finish curved metal rockers, with a choice of either a black or white interior and a smooth tactile switch action that incorporates a positive drive switch mechanism.  One to four-gang moulded plate models are also available to complement the extensive Ultimate moulded range.

The front plates are secured via a socket headed screw that, in addition to providing a level of security and tamper-proof protection, also reduces the risk of damage to the plates during installation.
