6.2.6.4 INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS |
Surface Preparations |
Surfaces to be coated with CC400EP must be clean, and free of surface contamination, such as dust, dirt and laitance. Surfaces may be damp, but there must be no standing water. Concrete surfaces may be prepared by high pressure water cleaning, wire brushing, sand or shot blasting, or acid etching. If acid etching is chosen, the surface must be thoroughly rinsed with clear water afterward, to remove all traces of muriatic acid. Wood surfaces may be prepared by sanding lightly to open the grain. Where previously applied coatings are present, in many cases they may remain in place if desired. The coatings must be firmly bonded, and a test patch of CC400EP must be applied to determine adhesion. Prior to application of CC400EP, the coating must be wire brushed or scarified, then cleaned. |
Mixing |
Combine Part A and Part B and mix thoroughly, using a TE-25 and a Hilti mixing paddle. |
Application |
CC400EP may be rolled, brushed, or sprayed onto surfaces. If rolling, choose a roller with a 3/8" nap for best results. |
