Born in 1957 in Fujian Province, China. He organized the 1985 Exhibition of Young Painters from Shanghai and Fujian. He uses gunpowder as "paint" in order to express his view of mankind's history. In his "Project for Extraterrestrials" series, begun in 1989, he has made works such as "Meteorite Craters" and "Project that would extend the Great Wall by 10,000 meters" that leave their own marks on the earth.
