Kyo no Machiya (Kyoto tradesman's house)
An installation by Hidetoshi Nagasawa, a sculptor residing in Milan, Italy. A tradesman's house said to have stood for 150 years in Kyoto, and one still inhabited, was used as the venue for the Kyo no Machiya Exhibition, which presented the world of art encompassing both the traditional and modern. This exhibition, which ended in May of this year, is now reproduced on the Internet.
