Works exhibited in the Kyoto LIBRARY may be used freely in creative activities, as long as the use of these works conforms to the following conditions.
    Use must be limited to WWW homepage contents, on the internet.
    Use must be limited to secondary expressions that fully respect the work and the intention of the artist
    (Use special care regarding composites and modifications.)
    The name of the author/artist must be shown.
    Please report the URL of the homepage the works are contained in.
    URL(addresses) are introduced within the Kyoto Pavilion.
[Caution]The authors of and people concerned with these works have not discarded their copyrights or other related rights. If the material contained within this LIBRARY is to be used in a form that allows downloading, the restriction noted above must also be openly displayed.

Send in you visual materials, sound materials, etc. that are related to aspects of Kyoto that form the core of Japanese culture (scenery, sounds, festivals, events, customs, fine arts, traditional crafts, etc., etc.)

How to participate
Works received will be displayed in the Kyoto LIBRARY, in the order received.
These works may be used freely by those who desire to use them creatively (as long as the use is limited to the internet).
As this LIBRARY spreads throughout the world, Kyoto will become an intimate parts of everyone's lives. This LIBRARY is designed to convey Kyoto culture to anybody and everybody interested, to spread the knowledge and love of what is intrinsically "Kyoto." It's time to show your Kyoto to the world!
Application qualifications
Applications are received without regard to geographic location, age of applicant, or other details. Everyone interested in the Internet Expo and the Kyoto Pavilion may send in their material.

How to apply
Be sure to send in with each work, the title or caption (30 words or less), a general description of the work (50 words or less), your name or whatever pen name you wish to use, your address, phone number, fax number, and email address. Send in your material by following the procedure shown on the right.
    Electronic data
    Send via email an GIF/JPEG/PICT/BMP image file format of 400 x 400 pixels or less.
    If you send a floppy disk by regular mail, make sure it is in DOS format, with the format style clearly written on the label. Send floppies to the address below.

    Digitalized works
    Works must be of B4 size or smaller.
    Send the original or a color print or slide (4 cm x 5 cm or less) of the original.


    All works must be originals.

    Please note that actual display conditions may require modification (to the original colors and size) of entries.
