Want to support the Tampines Rovers? Join its fan club!

Tampines Rovers FC launched its fan club on April 13, 1996, at Tampines Stadium.

The event was kicked off by the players' most ardent supporter, Communications Minister Mah Bow Tan.

This was followed by a musical performance by Singapore's Tina Turner, Melissa Sidek.

She moved through the crowd while performing the punchy "Simply the Best", which she offered as a tribute to the Tampines stags.

Mr Mah, adviser to the FAS, has one advice for Tampines Rovers fans: "Support the team whether they are doing well or not. They should cheer them, especially when they are not doing well. When you jeer them, they get downhearted. Diehards should support them even when they are down."

Those interested in joining the fan club can sign up. The team offers family ($120), adult ($60) and student ($25) memberships, which include season tickets for home games and T-shirts.
