The International Summer School Gmunden is housed on the campus of Schloss Traunsee, a boarding school facility. It offers 10-18 year-old students from all over the world attractive and challenging language courses. The academic program is supplemented by a variety of stimulating cultural and sporting activities.
Located in Gmunden-Altmuenster near Salzburg, the school is set on the lush grounds of a 19th century manor with excellent athletic facilities. We offer
- Language courses in small groups by native speaking instructors. The Heads of Department are fully qualified and highly experienced practicing teachers
- Daily evening activities (e.g., "soft drink" disco, international evening, talent-show, boat-trip, campfire)
- Desktop Publishing (school newletter)
- 2-4 bed dormitories
- Weekend excursions to historical sites and alpine attractions in the area
Programme
Morning:
1. German as a Foreign Language for beginning, intermediate and advanced learners. 20 h/week course in German conversation, grammar and literature.
2. English as a Foreign Language for beginning, intermediate and advanced learners. 20 h/week course in German conversation, grammar and literature.
Afternoon:
1. Included in the course fee: swimming, tennis, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, billiard, etc.; desktop publishing, creativity (drama, music, arts, crafts)
2. Optional sports work-shops (with professional coaching): Sailing, horseback riding, tennis and golf.
