- Several views of
Dubna, a small city on the north side of the Moscow province
(about 3 hours by train from Moscow). This city was founded in 1956
as a site for the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Because
Dubna hosts the 17th Annual TeX Users Group Meeting
(July 28-- August 2, 1996), pictures and information about
Dubna are provided by the TeX Users Group server in USA.

- Arkhangelskoye:
a small town a short distance west of Moscow (By S. Grimm). You will see
the beatiful palace and garden that was owned by Usupov before
the 1917 revolution.
- SIR_C/X-SAR image of
Star City
near Kaliningrad (172 Kb). A cosmonaut training center, the space
operations center, space shuttle industry are
nestled here. You can look at an ordinary radar image or a
full
resolution copy of that image (April 21, 1995). Note, it will
take some time (:-) because its size is greater than 30Mb ! The image
