Neighbouring towns in pictures

• Sergiev Posad. This town is notable by St.Trinity-Sergius Lavra: the monastery and museum of Russian art XV-XX centuries. One exhibition is provided by RUSphoto. Another collection is presented by Steven Grimm (koreth@hyperion.com)

• Several views of Dubna, a small city on the north side of the Moscow province (about 3 hours by train from Moscow). This city was founded in 1956 as a site for the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research. Because Dubna hosts the 17th Annual TeX Users Group Meeting (July 28-- August 2, 1996), pictures and information about Dubna are provided by the TeX Users Group server in USA.
• Pictures of Russian jet fighters and other planes provided by the company "Fly With Us" in Zhukovskiy (near Moscow), video clip of 30 seconds made during customers' flight and other stuff.
• Arkhangelskoye: a small town a short distance west of Moscow (By S. Grimm). You will see the beatiful palace and garden that was owned by Usupov before the 1917 revolution.
• SIR_C/X-SAR image of Star City near Kaliningrad (172 Kb). A cosmonaut training center, the space operations center, space shuttle industry are nestled here. You can look at an ordinary radar image or a full resolution copy of that image (April 21, 1995). Note, it will take some time (:-) because its size is greater than 30Mb !
