Media Files

A media file refers to any audio or video file SIREN Jukebox plays from the computer. The supported media files are listed below:

Wave (Microsoft)	.wav	Standard audio format for Windows-based computers.
Video for Windows	.avi	Standard audio/video format used on Windows-based computers.
MP3 Audio Layers 1, 2, and 3	.mp3, .mp2	Popular audio compression format. SIREN will create and play .mp3 files.
Sonic Foundry's Perfect ClarityTM Audio	.pca	New Sonic Foundry Lossless compression technology.
Windows Media Audio 7	.wma	Microsoft compression format that provides security features to prevent unauthorized duplication. SIREN will create and play .wma files.
Windows Media Video 7	.wmv, .asf	Microsoft standard for streaming media via the Web. This option renders both audio and video into one file.
Audio Interchange File Format	.aif, .aiff, .snd	Standard audio format used on Macintosh computers.
Sonic Foundry Wave64	.w64	Same as the standard Microsoft Wave (*.wav) files except there is not a 2 gig limit.
Vorbis	.ogg	Audio compression format from Vorbis.
MPEG Audio Layers 1, 2, and 3	.mpg, .mpeg, .m1v, .m1a, .mp2, .mp3	Moving Picture Experts Group audio/video format.
QuickTime	.mov, .qt, .dv	Standard audio/video format used on Macintosh computers.
