From ccjbreng@antelope.wcc.edu Thu Jan 20 14:04:31 1994 Date: Thu, 20 Jan 1994 13:56:00 -0700 (MST) From: John Brengman To: John Brengman Subject: solaris.txt HI! First, I'd like to welcome all of you to this collection of mechs that I am putting here at potemkin.cs.pdx.edu. I hope you will enjoy these mechs as much as I have. Note that in all cases, these designs are free to use and copy so long as the credit line at the end of the design remains intact. If you make any modifications to the mech, please notify me so I can try it out and see how it works. The letterhead has been retained for two reasons. The first is because I am using the online mail system to compose these files. This is saving me a lot of time and effort that would be spent if I had to convert a file from WordPerfect to DOS so I could send it. The second reason is the subject line, in which I will state the mech's name and whether it is a field mech or a mech used for Solaris VII. In ALL cases, I use Inner Sphere technology unless I specify otherwise. The reason why I specify the Solaris mechs is because some of them take advantage of the coolant system in Solaris, and the designs made for the enclosed spaces of the arena may not work so well in the field. Some of them, however, have managed to be pretty dangerous on the field..... Anyway, enough talk for now. I'll give you the mechs, and if our Solaris VII group comes up with any neato rules, I'll pass them along too. Ciao John Brengman ccjbreng@antelope.wcc.edu
