Day Five

Today we spent couple of hours wondering around Camden Town, a hip-hop area and saw a lot of interesting shops.  Here you can see a lot of youngsters with kinky look.  Body tatoos, handcuffs swinging in backpacks, pierced eyebrows, lips, nose or any part of the body are rather common here.  And the good news : no one cares to look at you no matter how kinky you are.  I really like to live in a free country where people are more open minded.

Poor Ali, she is more into "wrapping all over" kind of outfits and all those provoking designs and low cut v-neck look boring to her.  But not me, I am into yuppy/kinky/wild/sexy kind of stuffs, so, at the end, my purse became  much lighter than hers when we finished all the shopping at Camden.

I bought two funny tops from a S&M shop, one with lots of spiders and reptiles in a 3D effect (yuck...but cool!) and one with a pair of handcuffs hanging on the front top also with 3D effect.  My buddy in Melbourne loves this kind of design and I should send one to please him.  Just don't know which one I should keep for myself!  Don't even think of asking Ali,
she hates to make a decision, remember?

Today we switched to French Cuisine and so far, it was the best meal we had in London.  The roasted baby chicken was so young and tender, I wonder how old he/she was before being brutally murdered.  Of course Tiramisu is selling everywhere and how can I miss my favourite dessertt?   Our French waiter is quite a charming guy but too bad, he can't speak fluent English and my French is as poor as my Italian.  Excusez moi beau garçon, je ne comprends pas (something like that...try the spell check!)

After the tour to Camden Town, we took a bus to Baker Street, where Madam Taussaud is located.  As soon as we get off the bus, a long line of people queued up the whole Street and we immediately found our site.  Leave it or be there with the enthusiastic crowd - was the question I kept repeating.  But I have to solve this problem myself as Ali has nothing to do with decision making.  Besides, her mind is spacing out most of the time during the trading hours of the HK Stock Exchange...lucky girl!

One hour later.....(and after 23 pounds disappeared from Ali's purse (her investment went pretty smooth today!))

Look over there, it's Brad Pitt, isn't he beautiful?  What, Ali, you are still a fan of Harrison Ford?  Come on, he is out!  Hey, Liz Tailor, how come "she" is so skinny with less wrinkles?  Oh my god, Michael Jackson still with nose No.5.  Wow, Henry VIII and his six wives...Ann Bolyn is not that great looking, same as Catherine Howard, no wonder their heads got chopped off so soon...not easy to serve that big fat Tudor king, tough job!

Another hour later.....

Lets get the hell out of here, I am tired of seeing all those waxed and dull faces.

Of course, no formal dinner to follow as we lost our appetite already after arguing about the "nose job" in front of Michael Jackson's wax for ten minutes.
