The object of Memory Match is to remove all of the tiles by selecting matching pairs BEFORE exceeding the maximum number of mistakes.

When you begin a new game, all of the tiles will appear face down. You start by clicking on a tile. The tile will now be shown face up. You may then click on another tile, in an attempt to find the tile that matches the one you just selected.

The second tile will also be shown face up. If you have found a match, both selected tiles will disappear and your score will be added to. If the two selected tiles do not match, they will both go back to appearing face down and your score will be deducted from.

You should continue clicking on any pair of remaining tiles in the same way, trying to find matches. However, you must keep in mind that there are a certain number of mistakes you can make before you will not be allowed to continue.

The status area on the right side of the screen will inform you as to the number of matches you have found and the number of mistakes you have made, as well as your game score and cumulative score.

If you are able to find every match and clear the screen of all the tiles before you reach the allowable number of mistakes, you will receive an additional bonus.

You may change the tile backs, size of the playing grid, number of allowable mistakes and even the number of tile layers at any time. If you change anything but the tile backs, you must begin a new game (you will not be penalized for this). If you choose to play a two-layer game, you will have twice the number of tiles in the playing grid, with one set stacked on top of the other.

*NOTE: It is not always possible to win a two-layer game!
